About Us

Founded in 1907, the Orienta Yacht Club is one of the oldest and most distinctive Clubs on Long Island Sound. We are located in the scenic and well-protected East Basin of Mamaroneck Harbor, easily accessible through a well-marked, deep water channel. Mamaroneck is a gateway to great fishing, sailboat racing, cruising and just plain “messing about in boats.”

Our members include both power-boaters and sailors who welcome the opportunity to work on their own boats, which is typically not allowed in commercial boatyards.

Our members serve alongside skilled professionals in our yard when their yachts are hauled and launched. We can refer you to a roster of valued craftspeople who can handle all the work, too. Plus there are three full-service boatyards, fuel and pumpout facilities nearby. Orienta Yacht Club is a friendly place distinguished by member participation in every aspect of Club life—from staffing work parties, planning social events and cruises, to taking on major upgrades to our facilities and equipment.
